I like to write out in the world. Places like coffee shops and libraries and bookstores. These places usually have other people on laptops. Sometimes they're jotting things down in a notebook. I'm left wondering if there are fellow writers in my midst. But I’m too shy to ask them or to out myself as a writer. So I go on writing, and then I leave, having made no new writer friends. 

I usually regret not saying anything as I'm walking away. I would love nothing more than to speak with other writers about their craft. I would love to have a community of like-minded people.

That is why I created the Society of Banded Writers. I have designed t-shirts, sweatshirts, laptop stickers, and tote bags as a sort of uniform for writers. A way to identify ourselves without challenging our introverted tendencies. 

Wear these items with pride! Wear them when you're writing and when you're not! Maybe you'll find each other in coffee shops and bookstores. I can only hope it will spark a conversation. I hope you'll make a friend and form a fulfilling, collaborative writing group.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All items are made to order. Most items are created within 3 to 7 days before shipping. US orders usually take 3 to 5 business days to arrive and international orders can take 10 to 30 business days.

  • Because all items are made to order, orders cannot be canceled or modified once production has started. If you notice an issue immediately after placing your order, contact me as soon as possible and I’ll do my best to help before production begins.

  • All items are custom-made and there is not a physical storehouse, so returns or exchanges cannot be accepted. Items may be eligible for replacement if there is damage. (see the replacement section for more information). Items cannot be returned for wrong size, wrong color, or change of mind.

  • If your item arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, contact me within 30 days of delivery. Send me a clear picture of the damaged item, and I will request a new order from the distributor. If they accept, a free replacement or refund will be issued.

  • If your item doesn’t arrive after 30 days in the US or 45 days internationally, please contact me. If the order is confirmed lost, a replacement or refund will be issued if eligible. If the wrong shipping address was entered, a replacement or refund cannot be guaranteed.

  • International orders may be subject to customs fees or import taxes, which are determined by your local customs office. These fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost and are the buyer’s responsibility.

  • Yes! Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link via email. Tracking updates may take 24-48 hours to appear after shipping.
