Writers are everywhere — in coffee shops, libraries, and bookstores — tapping away on laptops or scribbling in notebooks. We sit near each other all the time, wondering if the person beside us is a fellow writer… but most of us are too shy to ask.
So we pack up, head home, and think, I wish I’d said something.
The Society of Banded Writers exists to fix that.
We’ve created t-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and totes as a simple “uniform” for writers to wear. A uniform that says:
I’m a writer too. You can talk to me.
Wear them while you’re drafting in a café or browsing a bookstore. Let another writer spot you. Let it spark a conversation. Let it become a friendship, a critique partner, a writing group, a community.
There’s only one requirement for membership:
If you write, you belong.
We’re in this together.
We are banded.

All items are made to order. Most items are created within 3 to 7 days before shipping. US orders usually take 3 to 5 business days to arrive and international orders can take 10 to 30 business days.

Because all items are made to order, orders cannot be canceled or modified once production has started. If you notice an issue immediately after placing your order, contact me as soon as possible and I’ll do my best to help before production begins.

All items are custom-made and there is not a physical storehouse, so returns or exchanges cannot be accepted. Items may be eligible for replacement if there is damage. (see the replacement section for more information). Items cannot be returned for wrong size, wrong color, or change of mind.

If your item arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, contact me at sarahgreenwriter@gmail.com within 30 days of delivery. Send me a clear picture of the damaged item, and I will request a new order from the distributor. If they accept, a free replacement or refund will be issued.

If your item doesn’t arrive after 30 days in the US or 45 days internationally, please contact me. If the order is confirmed lost, a replacement or refund will be issued if eligible. If the wrong shipping address was entered, a replacement or refund cannot be guaranteed.

International orders may be subject to customs fees or import taxes, which are determined by your local customs office. These fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost and are the buyer’s responsibility.

Yes! Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link via email. Tracking updates may take 24-48 hours to appear after shipping.
